Welcome to my page!

I’m Ferah Ahmet, a British-born Turkish Cypriot who has been an established Voice Actor for a handful of years now, and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. I continue to love voicing various projects, ranging from upbeat commercials, to maniacal villains in video games. From having passions in accents, characterisation and audio design at an early age, I found that voice acting was the perfect career, as it encapsulated all of the things I love! As a child, I used to mimic character voices and those of love ones around me in attempts to lift the room, and enjoyed watching the laughter it brought. That same feeling is still present whenever I’m sat behind the microphone, ready to record!

I first dove into Voice Acting right at the start of Covid, with a USB plug-in microphone and a Windows 7 laptop, while sitting hunched in my bedroom wardrobe. Slowly but surely, I began to receive call-backs from the auditions I was submitting, which led me to my very first voice acting job; it was a narrative style for a short documentary bringing awareness to violence in Jamaica. Over the next few years, I would invest more time and money into my career – updating my equipment, building a ‘pillow fort’ for my recording space and advertising myself on LinkedIn. I managed to work with some amazing clients during this time, including Audible, PayPal, YouTube, National Art Gallery, Gilt and – funnily enough – LinkedIn!

Connecting with fellow Voice Actors really made me feel welcomed into this quirky community. So after ‘umming and ahing,’ I took the plunge and began making videos on TikTok! I was pleasantly surprised by how many people enjoyed watching my sketches and impressions. Through collaborating with other creatives and just having fun online, I began to grow in confidence and felt like I’d really started establishing myself in my profession. I continued auditioning throughout this entire process and built up an elite clientele, after working for just a few years (and had many pinch-me moments).

With a critical ear and an eagerness to learn, I pride myself on taking direction – when received both live and written – and applying that to my performance. As a professional who loves what I do with a now custom-built sound booth and industry-met recording equipment, I recognise the importance of not only developing amicable relations with my clients, but also just having fun on the job! So, if you’re in need of an open-minded and flexible Voice Actor, or you just have an enquiry (or even to have a little chat), then please don’t hesitate to contact me!
